About Park Asia

Located at 6521 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY, Park Asia is a charming Chinese restaurant renowned for its dim sum and traditional Cantonese dishes. Since its establishment in 2005, the restaurant has become a staple in the neighborhood, offering a warm, welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're craving a light breakfast, a hearty lunch, or a delightful dinner, Park Asia delivers an unforgettable dining experience that combines authentic flavors with modern flair.

A Rich History Rooted in Tradition

The concept behind Park Asia was born out of a desire to bring authentic Chinese cuisine to the Brooklyn Chinatown area. As the neighborhood underwent changes and gentrification, Park Asia grew with it. The restaurant was renovated to provide an elegant dining space that complements the exceptional food served. High ceilings, park views, and a beautiful atmosphere set the stage for a relaxing meal, whether you're enjoying a casual dim sum breakfast or a special family dinner.

Culinary Delights at Park Asia

When it comes to the food, Park Asia excels in offering a variety of traditional Cantonese dishes alongside the much-loved dim sum. From shrimp rolls to the black sesame bun, there is something for every palate.

  • Black Sesame Bun: This dish stands out as a favorite among regulars. The bun is soft and pillowy, filled with a rich, sweet black sesame paste that strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and nuttiness. It's so good that you might find yourself ordering a dozen!

  • Shrimp Rolls: The rolls are crispy, with perfectly cooked shrimp that’s fresh and satisfying. The crispy outer layer adds texture, while a simple dip in soy sauce elevates the flavor to a new level.

In addition to these favorites, soy sauce chicken is a crowd-pleaser, known for its tenderness and rich, saucy flavor. It’s a dish that’s different from other Cantonese restaurants because of the unique cooking method—served in a big pot to keep the flavors intact. This adds to its rich, comforting taste.

Innovative Dishes and Specialties

While Park Asia is known for sticking to Cantonese classics, the restaurant occasionally tries to innovate its recipes. One such dish is the scallop special, which features fresh scallops topped with vermicelli. While this dish was unique, it didn’t quite have the same impact as some of the more traditional offerings, like the E Fu noodles, lobster, and steak kew.

For those seeking variety, the menu offers an array of dishes, including:

  • Filet Grouper
  • Snow Bean Leaves
  • Chives & Celery
  • Jellyfish
  • Sliver Fish and more.

Each dish is prepared with care, ensuring a delightful culinary experience that blends tradition with occasional moments of innovation.

Exceptional Service with a Dash of Speed

The service at Park Asia is fast and efficient, ensuring that you are seated, served, and satisfied in record time. While this quick service is perfect for those in a hurry, it can sometimes feel a bit rushed. However, if you're looking for efficiency, you’ll definitely appreciate how quickly the staff moves.

What sets Park Asia apart is their attention to detail. The staff is always on top of refilling teapots, and they go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. In fact, they even comped a dessert plate for a customer’s birthday, which is a nice touch that showcases their commitment to great service.

A Perfect Place for Special Occasions

Park Asia isn’t just a great spot for casual dining; it’s also an ideal place for celebrating special occasions. The spacious, elegant environment makes it perfect for birthdays, weddings, corporate parties, and community events. Whether you're planning a large gathering or an intimate celebration, Park Asia can accommodate your needs, providing both delicious food and a beautiful ambiance.

  • This place gets really crowded on weekend mornings. Expect to wait in line for 20min to an hour. Food is more Cantonese style versus Flushing dim sum. Food is fresh. Price is regular for dim sum. The service was good. The staff was attentive. However, once you are done eating, you do get the feeling you should leave soon. Can't blame them with the long lines. FYI, Parking can be difficult in the area

  • Jade Garden is a traditional Cantonese seafood restaurant with an elegant and comfortable ambiance. Private dining rooms on the second floor are perfect for birthday parties. The menu is varied, beautifully presented, and delicious. While the food is delicious, it doesn't quite reach the level of Hong Kong restaurants that will wow your palate! It's truly unforgettable! The waiters are professional and dedicated!

  • This is the only place I know that takes reservations for dim sum. They were able to accommodate us with 3 big tables upstairs in the vip room. After eating dim sum 3 days in a roll I was kind of sick of it but after the first bite I was in love again. Expect big crowds and some waiting time.

  • One of the best 酒楼 on 8th Ave for a special dinner! Food was incredibly flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend their seafood dishes, especially the steamed crab over sticky rice, and the black pepper lamb chops. We had a VIP room to ourselves on a weeknight without a reservation in advance. Complimentary mango dessert, almond cookies, and assorted fruit. Service was very friendly and attentive. Dishes we ordered: Steamed crab over sticky rice, black pepper lamb chops, jumbo shrimp with walnuts in mayo sauce, macadamia with mixed clams, scallops in black pepper sauce.

  • Nice and welcoming restaurant. The staff are attentive. The food is ok but a bit on the bland side if you have a salty palette. Otherwise, the prrparatiins were pretty good. We came for a late lunch after a funeral. There is a fair amount of street parking in the area.
